It is with profound sadness the family of Alyson Lena Snooks, age 25, would like to announce that she passed away at home unexpectedly July 9th 2023. Lena was the cherished daughter of Philomena and Monty. Sister to Matthew and Blake. Mama to her kitties Avery and Nora.
Lena was a gentle soul and always greeted everyone with a smile. She was kind and wore her heart on her sleeve. She was passionate about social justice and a fierce supporter of LGBTQ rights. Lena was enrolled in the Social Work Program at Dalhousie and was excited to start her final placement in the fall. She loved animals and volunteered previously with Hope for Wildlife animal pickup and the SPCA kitten fostering program.
Lena loved listening to True Crime Podcast and was excited to appear as a guest on the '' The Nighttime Podcast" where they discussed " Who is Halifax Airports John Doe? " Always up for an adventure, she also did some background acting, The last film being "Chapelwaite".
Lena loved her family and often talked fondly about childhood road trips. She enjoyed metal detecting with her dad and thrift store shopping with her mom. She was funny , she was sensitive and she was so loved.

Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held in the fall.
